So I finished my second go of the game last night, and in Orzammar, I made a drastically different decision from the first to the second So, my first run of the game, I played a Human Noble, who sided with Harrowmont, because that seemed to be the best option what with the rumors of Bhelen killing his brother and father running about.

Until I beat the game and got to the epilogue: I was shocked to see that maybe I hadn't chosen correctly in Orzammar after all--even by letting the Chantry set up shop in Orzammar had poor consequences.

My second run, I played a Dwarf Commoner, intent to see if choosing Bhelen would be any better. Luckily, Bhelen's concubine being the PC's sister helped TONS to make this decision easier Bhelen even immediately welcomed the PC with warmth and called her "sister" and all that good stuff; his correspondent was less of a jerk to you, even, if you have Rica introduce you.

I'm still waiting for him to put my face on one of those big statues Tranceptor Status: Offline. By IanPolaris - Sat Jan 15, am. IanPolaris Status: Offline. By LobselVith8 - Sat Jan 15, am. Except Bhelen can't breach the fortress once she refuses to make golems solely for him and Branka is mentally unbalanced. Maybe if someone relatively sane was handling the Anvil, I could see the reason to spare it because the darkspawn need to be stopped at all costs, but Branka can't be reasoned with.

I don't see any reason to save the Anvil as long as Branka's the only person who can be left with it. LobselVith8 Status: Offline. This clearly best is when you destory it and put bhelen as king.

By Last Darkness - Sat Jan 15, am. Most positive benefit for everyone. If you play the Dwarf Commoner Origen and go through the Orzamaar quests it is Bhelen who is painted as the hero and harrowmont as the bad guy.

Also its heavily implied Harrowmont poisoned the King Aeducan. Last Darkness Status: Offline. By Sarah - Sat Jan 15, am. By who? What would Harrowmont have gotten out of killing off Endrin right when he was starting to reject Bhelen?

Had he lived long enough, he might have formerly rejected him as his heir and made Harrowmont's life easier. Also that first Harrowmont ending is slightly inaccurate.

I've added your information to the solution. Posted by Em on 05 Dec 09 at Sign in and add a guide. Gamer has been removed. Both "Harrowmont's Ally" and "Bhelen's Ally" are available in one play through with a careful save. Leading up to your deep roads trek it doesnt matter who you run your errands for. You can complete Harrowmonts tasks or Bhelens, or even both with careful dialog choices Im guessing. Just play however you see fit, head through the deep roads until you preserve or destroy the Anvil of the Void.

When you do head to the Council Chamber a cut scene happens. Through a series of dialog options you can pick Harrowmont or Belen, even if you didnt help support them before you left for the deep roads. Crown your King and reload your save. Do it all over again for the other achievement! CandidFever3 , 16 Jun 18 Jun 18 Jun Once you return to the Orzammar Chamber of Assembly after the Anvil of the Void quest, you'll have to choose a new king for Orzammar. For this achievement, say that Branka or Caridin chose Bhelen to be king.

After a conversation with Bhelen, you'll unlock the achievement.
